Homemade Italian Seasoning

~ Best way to preserve homegrown herbs


Oregano - 2 cups (loosely measured)
Basil - 2 cups (loosely measured)
Rosemary - 1/3 cup (loosely measured)
Sea salt - 1/3 cup
Red Pepper
Flakes - 2 tsp
Black Pepper - 1 tbs


Combine all the ingredients. Give a quick pulse in the food processor. Makes about a cup. Store them in airtight spice jars.

Rosemary Salt


Sea salt - 1 cup
Rosemary - 1/2 cup (crushed)

Combine salt and rosemary in a food processor and give a pulse or two until well combined. Keep in an airtight container. A perfect seasoning for grilled vegetables especially for grilled potatoes.
